10 Reasons You Should Book A Corporate Daytime Event

June 25, 2018

With Christmas only six months away, corporate event planners have already begun planning their festive event calendar. Here's 10 reasons why most corporate events are better scheduled as a daytime affair.

Work comes first
Guests can always make time for a business event by day and will even look forward to getting out of the office if they can justify the time spent.

However, most people like to keep anything work-related to daytime hours and make their night their own.

At night, they've got kids, their favourite show on TV or Netflix, the gym, or their other job.

If it's a bring-your-partner evening event they may have to fork out for babysitting fees which means they're going to be extremely fussy about the events they can attend.

Seasonal and temporal reasons
When it's winter and feels cold, no-one likes heading out in the rain at night. When it's summer, your guests need your event to be pretty fabulous to make it worth their while.

There is so much competition for special events from September through March that guests get party-weary. A winter daytime corporate event has a very good rate of attendance because there are fewer events occurring.

Suppliers
Venues charge less for brunch and lunch bookings than for events in the evening because they do not have to pay their staff overtime rates.

You save on event hire delivery fees if your suppliers can deliver and pickup in business hours.

Dealing with full-time event staff
If you book a daytime event you will nearly always be dealing with the venue manager. If it is a evening event they will have gone home and many staff will be freelancers who are not across your business goals.

Transport issues
It's harder to hail cabs and Ubers charge more at night.

You've probably driven to the venue during the day and could see where you could park, get a taxi or catch public transport.

Don't just book the venue online. Do a site visit and check these items. Certain urban areas can get more dangerous once night falls.
