Are You Getting Married On An Extremely Popular Wedding Date?
Now is the time to order your wedding decor if you haven't done so already, with hundreds of brides competing for the same dates on which to marry, based on a survey of 323 brides marrying between now and June 2017.
Just over 53% are getting married between 1 September-31 December (a third of the entire period).
The most popular date to marry
The single most popular wedding date over the entire 12 months is Saturday 12 November, with 25% of November brides marrying then, followed by 22% of brides marrying on Saturday 26 November, 17% on Saturday 19 November and 12% on Saturday 5 November.
September brides are choosing Saturday 17 September (22%) and 10 September (14%), with Thursday 1st, Saturday 3rd and Thursday 29th September equally chosen by 8% of brides.
The top October wedding dates include Saturday 15 October (18%), 8 October (16%), 1 October (14%) and 22 October (12%) with Sunday 2 October (9%) the fifth most popular day on which to marry.
The most popular single date to marry in December is Saturday 17 December with 10% of brides.
However, thanks to - or in spite of - the holidays, December brides are selecting weekday wedding dates on almost every day of that month, an astonishing 50% of brides are marrying between the Monday and Friday of all four weeks in December.
Why? Many families get together at Christmastime, so weddings bring everyone together. Many people have holidays then, the weather is warm and kids are on holidays.
