How My Wedding Decor Works With Wedding Planners, Florists, Stylists, Venues & Caterers
My Wedding Decor makes it easy for couples to order unique wedding decor Australia-wide and to hire items ranging from bridal signs to reception lighting in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, but did you know we also work heavily with wedding planners, florists, stylists, venue managers and caterers?
My Wedding Decor is a helpful resource for finding bespoke or personalised wedding details that make your event so memorable as we specialise in items that you don't see everywhere.
How My Wedding Decor works with your wedding planner
Wedding planners help manage your budget, vendors, venues, and all the nitty-gritty details that go into planning a wedding. The time they contact My Wedding Decor ranges from as soon as the venue has been booked (ie a year or more in advance) to right up to the last week when couples are seeking a particular type of look and want certain details to make their wedding spectacular.
In mid-December 2015 we were contacted by wedding planner, Joanie Lim of One Wedding Wish. Her bride's wedding, which was six weeks later in late January 2016, had a silver Art Deco theme. We had gold beaded charged plates to hire, but the bride wanted to rent silver beaded glass charger plates. We sourced and delivered these in time as themed wedding decorations for her event at the Manningham Function Centre in north-eastern Melbourne.
How MWD works with your florist or stylist
Many brides use a florist and/or stylist instead of, or in addition to a wedding planner.
Many florists provide additional styling for a fee; but not all stylists can provide floristry. In late August 2015 a florist and styling company in Northcote contacted My Wedding Decor regarding their Ireland-based bride getting married in mid-October. The florist discovered we offered bespoke wedding decor and sent us photos the bride had selected from Pinterest of a hand-made destination signpost which listed the cities and distances guests had flown from to attend the wedding, to be placed at the front of the venue. We sourced and coordinated the sign-maker, the chalkboard artist and the delivery.
How My Wedding Decor works with your venue manager
If you're having a corporate function, or, if you are getting married, you may have almost everything you need supplied by your venue. But your venue manager is more than happy to help you source any decorative detail for your event which will make it stand out.
The wedding and events manager from Cargo Hall contacted us regarding hiring glittering gold rhinestone table numbers. We had enough numbers for 15 tables, but this was a bigger wedding of 18 tables. So we ordered enough for 25 tables, just to be on the safe side.
How MWD works with your caterer or wedding cake maker
Many brides ask their caterer or wedding cake makers to source additional items such as for their dessert tables, lolly buffets or guest favours.
In January 2016 we were contacted by Perth-based wedding cake maker Cake by Maxine who was organising dessert tables for weddings in February and March 2016 and wanted glittery lollipops. After checking on flavour preferences, we ordered champagne-flavoured silver glitter lollipops for the first bride, and pear-flavoured golden glitter lollipops for the second wedding.
