Choose Offbeat Locations If You're Seeking Unique Wedding Venues

Think outside the box: unique wedding venues

When you've got a wedding theme in mind but the venue of your dreams that would match it perfectly is unavailable and/or unaffordable, it's time to consider getting married in unique wedding venues which still meet your particular wedding theme.

There are some amazing alternative wedding venue locations available if you're willing to think a little laterally, and to travel outside the capital cities, too.

Unique wedding venues and locations
Swallowfield Vineyard, Gembrook, VIC
Just an hour from Melbourne is this family-owned Yarra Valley vineyard, offering you beach, rustic, and garden theme-matching with its two lakes, pine forest, rolling fields and the vineyard, as well as the winery in which to get married, with up to 100 guests for a sit-down reception. They even have an in-house wedding stylist, Danielle from Wild Heart Events.

Kidogo Arthouse, Fremantle, WA
Built in 1884, the limestone building on the edge of the Indian Ocean has been a kerosene storehouse, warehouse and a shipwright's shed. It became a potter's studio in 1975 and was launched as a unique venue space in 2012. Hire this for your beach, rustic or vintage theme wedding if you have up to 90 people seated, 130 for cocktails.

Babalou, Kingscliff, NSW
When you don't want sand in your toes but you want a knockout glamorous, beach wedding, check out the revamped wedding venue Babalou on top of Kingscliff Hotel. Its floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, stylish decor and festoon lighting tick so many theme "boxes". Perfect if you're having up to 140 guests.

Maleny Manor, Maleny, QLD
This beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland venue is a destination wedding location in its own right and with the stunning landscape, a wonderful garden wedding venue. It offers cool festival-themed packages to appeal to your inner boho, and lists its availability for bookings on its website calendar. It includes six accommodation suites too, making it easier for friends and family to stay the night of your wedding.
